  • Hi Friends, and welcome to my Photo Blog!

I'm Michelle, a BFA Photography student at the Academy of Art University. On these pages I will share my images with you - some are homework assignments, others 'professional' photo shoots, and some are from my travels.

If you like what you see, I'd love to hear from you. Feel free to subscribe to my RSS Feed, or follow me on Twitter and Facebook.

Photos, my Mac, and … a Bra?

I spent a wonderful Saturday afternoon with my SIL and her family, taking their family photos. On Sunday, I spent the afternoon trying to upload them onto my zenfolio site.  But alas, I kept getting a message stating that I needed Java.

.

So I went to the link it gave and downloaded it.

It failed.

So I downloaded the next version.

It failed.

.

So yesterday I called Apple. {And was feeling quite cocky in that I have the Apple Protection Plan and therefore got a call back IMMEDIATELY!}.  I told Jason about my little dilemma, to which he responded that all Mac’s come with Java.

.

So he took me thru the steps to see if everything was checked that was supposed to be checked…it was.

.

So I went to the zenfolio site to give him the exact wording of the error message.

.

And well, whaddya know.  No error message. Just normalcy!

.

“Hey, it’s working now!  Seriously, I was getting an error message yesterday.”

“That’s all right – that happens sometimes!”

And that’s when it happened.  I opened my mouth and started talking.  What I should have said was “Good bye”.  But no. Here’s what I said instead, because apparently, I thought it would be a funny play on words with Customer Support:

” Well, thanks.  Thanks … pause … for being supportive!”

.

SILENCE.  Then he laughed and we said “good-bye”.

.

Um, yeah. That’s right. I said “Thanks for being supportive!”  like he was a Brazier!  Are you kidding me?  Have I EVER said that when hanging up the phone with a Customer Service Rep?  NO. NEVER.  I always say, “Thanks for your help.”  {admittedly, a little sarcastically if they really weren’t any help at all.}

.

Note to self:  Always end a call with “Thanks and good-bye”.  NEVER NEVER try to be funny outloud.:)

.

OK, here are a few pics of my beautiful SILs family!

YOUR MOM - October 12, 2010 - 6:16 pm

Those are the times I am thankful I’m on the phone & can’t be seen….I am dreading the day when all the phones are connected to screens & I can be seen!!!!

YOUR MOM - October 14, 2010 - 5:56 pm

Isn’t this the second issue when you were on the phone for Tech support & they didn’t really help…….maybe YOU need to go into tech support!!!

you’re so goofy. do you know how many boring people jason probably talks to all day? i’m sure you were a refreshing breath of air. and unless he was of another persuasion (maybe not even then) he probably did not even associate your comment with women’s undergarments.
but it is funny.

You always make me smile, Michelle. :)

Also, I love that your mom comments as “Your Mom.” Sounds like a bad joke.
